Vintage Kentucky Maps....Right out of the vault!

(NOTE:Our supply of maps is depleated, we are working to secure more from the University Press!)

In 1979, University Press of Kentucky published Historic Maps of Kentucky by Thomas D. Clark. The set included facsimiles of ten maps published from the third quarter of the eighteenth century through the Civil War that reflect in colorful detail the emergence of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the unfolding art of American cartography. The maps were accompanied by a booklet that included an illuminating historical essay, as well as notes on the individual facsimiles and was illustrated with numerous details of other notable Kentucky maps.

The set was declared out of print in the almost 20 years ago, but extra copies of the maps remained in the basement of the press. Now they are available again…..
