"A Rainy Day in Lexington"
The painting is a scene in downtown Lexington, circa 1898. Included are the front steps of the old U.S. Custom House and Post Office that was located at Main and Walnut, with a harness shop next door. Figures in the scene include a mailman, lady and child, and newspaper boy approaching a couple. Similar to “A Rainy Day in Frankfort”, in the distance is shown a horse and buggy. Final quantities of prints are still available at the issue price through South Hill Gallery. The price for each print is $125.00.
